Client: Black Restaurant Week- Founded in 2016, Black Restaurant Week® is dedicated to celebrating the flavors of African-American, African, and Caribbean cuisine nationwide. Through a series of events and promotional campaigns, Black Restaurant Week’s culinary initiatives help introduce culinary businesses and culinary professionals to the community.
Role: Onboarding Manager and Production Assistant
Campaign: During their 2023 “More Than Just a Week Campaign” and to continue their mission in celebrating Black-owned food businesses, Black Restaurant Week is partnering with Shell Energy Stadium and Levy Restaurants to present the NOSH Culinary Showcase.
The organization’s sixth culinary showcase in Houston provides awareness to diverse culinary talents and help secure future business opportunities. NOSH will transport guests’ tastebuds to the African diaspora, as they experience dishes boasting African, African-American, and Caribbean flavors.
Houston’s premiere Black chefs, caterers, and bakers will exhibit multiple tasting stations and live chef demonstrations in addition to entertainment, music and cocktails. Participants will compete for prizes (valued at over $1000) in 5 categories as well as an opportunity to be featured at a home game in the Shell Energy Stadium arena during the Houston Dynamo season.
